Peter contacted me in a bit of a stressful situation – the wedding photographer he has previously booked for his Sopley Church Wedding had let him down! Luckily I was available and was delighted to capture their wedding day. Peter and Jo’s vision for their wedding was relaxed, laid-back and surrounded by close family members. All their planning really paid off, it was joy to be part of!

Myself and my wonderful second photographer Emma, met Jo and Peter (and their two beautiful daughters) at their home whilst they got ready for the exciting day ahead. Jo was a true boho bride with her hair in a gorgeous plait intertwined with pretty flowers. She wore a simple lace dress for their ceremony and an equally gorgeous embellished Monsoon dress at The Mill at Gordleton afterwards. The bridesmaid dresses for their daughters were also from the children’s range at Monsoon. Peter wore a very stylish tweed 3 piece suit.

After Jo and Peter had their confetti exit from their Sopley church wedding, there was just enough time for some group photos before it started to rain. Not a problem, the guests made their way to The Mill at Gordleton whilst we grabbed a couple of umbrellas. Peter, Jo and their daughters walked across the road to a little bridge for some quick photos. After this, they popped home for Jo to change into her second dress. By the time we got to The Mill the sunshine was back out – yippee! With the sunshine and the mill’s beautiful gardens, everyone was able to enjoy a drink outside. Their was a lovely family atmosphere whilst the children all played games on the lawn. Peter and Jo enjoyed a meal with their family in a private dining room. Followed by speeches and cake cutting back in the gardens.
